Get Outside

 
Just to get outside and smell the fresh air can do you alot of good. walking to the mailbox or wheeling yourself to the mailbox in your scooter is an accomplishment. Dont wear sunglasses as the sun must see your eyes. Being outside will help reset your internal clock and circadian rhythm. Having 30 min of sun daily also helps set your sleep patterns and fuels your body with Vitmain D.

Getting your doctors approval it is good to get your heart rate up to 120 to 160 for exercise. Please check with your endo AND SEE IF YOU ARE ABLE TO EXERCISE. Walking is good and if you are unable to get out of bed try bed exercises. Google them, there are many you can try.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids has been used as an antideppresant as it is food for the brain. I have also read it has benifits for those with mental disorders such as bipolar, ect. This is one supplement I would talk to my dr about taking.

Sleep--- Do this two hours before hitting the bed.


Turn off and put away electronics at a certain time everynight and keep them off. Try to do this at the same time everynight. Listen to music or relax and listen to your thoughts. Did you know that looking at a computer screen or phone sends signals in your brain to wake up. Thats why its important to turn your phones off. Also, if you turn your phone off and put it on airplane mode it will charge faster... ok, anyways back on subject. Drinking a warm glass of milk or water will help you sleep. Try to stay away from caffine which will keep you up.

Socialize- Getting out and doing the smallest things will lift those feelings of isolation. Going for a cup of coffee with a friend. Or going to a movie with someone you may know from church. Getting out and involving yourself with others will bring happiness to you. If you dont have any friends, then try attending Church on Sundays, there are many great people you can meet there that are like you, looking for friendships. Its a big step in socializing with public face to face, not on the computer. To move out of this isolation you have created for yourself, you can to get up and move out of the house. So go ahead and make a plan.

Watch your thinking

Learning to control your thinking is very important. When you start thinking negative thoughts, catch yourself and quickly refocus by thinking about the positives that this person has done for you. Refocusing your mindset is to focus on the positive things in life will bring more happiness to you. Negative thinking brings pain and heartache.
